Cookie policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work the same way. This page explains what nikographie.ca uses.
What the site uses
Nothing. The site sets no cookies and stores no data in your browser, including local storage. The display language depends only on the page address (English pages start with /en/).
What the site does not use
No audience-measurement tools (such as Google Analytics), no advertising pixels (such as Meta's), no social-media share buttons and no embedded videos from outside platforms. The site's videos are hosted on our own server.
Outside services
- Google Fonts: fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address. According to Google, this service does not set cookies.
- Web host: our web host (Rapidenet) records technical logs to run and secure the site. It may also use cookies that are strictly necessary for security (for example bot protection).
- Instagram and Facebook: these are plain links. Those platforms receive nothing from our site unless you click the link; their own policies apply from then on.
Why there is no consent banner
The site stores nothing in your browser, so there is nothing to accept or refuse. If we ever add an audience-measurement or advertising tool, it will be off by default and only turn on with your consent, and this page will be updated.
Data from an earlier version of the site
An earlier version of the site stored your chosen language in your browser's local storage (an item named "nikographie-lang"). The site no longer uses it. You can clear it in your browser settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Site data".
